Generate Web Sites with Dynamic Data: Almost No Coding Required

ASP.NET Dynamic Data, which debuted with the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 release this past summer, generates fully functional CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) ASP.NET Web Sites with little to no coding required. Sound like magic? Not really. By leveraging the metadata from Linq to SQL or Entity Framework data models, Dynamic Data can make smart decisions regarding the selection of UI controls and the implementation of validation criteria to dynamically generate the ASP.NET pages, so you don't have to! This presentation is almost all demo, so those of you wary of 'death-by-Powerpoint' need not fear attending!

Jim O'NeilJim is the newest Developer Evangelist in Microsoft's Northeast District, covering New England and upstate New York. He comes to Microsoft after 12 years at Sybase as a support engineer, sales consultant, product strategist, and evangelist for PowerBuilder and other Sybase products. A co-author of two books on application development with Sybase tools, he has presented at numerous conferences, user groups, and train-the-trainer events in the U.S. and Europe. Prior to moving to New England from the DC area 15 years ago, he developed applications and prototypes on both Microsoft and Unix platforms for various organizations in the Department of Defense.

This event is free and open to students and the public. RSVPs are appreciated!
