Social Hour w/ Pizza & Soda 5:00 - 6:00 pm.
Presentation 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
The .NET Compact Framework 2.0, when used with Windows Mobile 5.0 devices, provides powerful capabilities for easy access to contact, appointment and task information from Outlook Mobile. When combined with the new Notification Broker APIs, mobile application integration scenarios become endless! In this code-focused presentation, Don Sorcinelli will walk through the basics for accessing Outlook Mobile data in Smart Device applications using Visual Studio 2005 and C#. He will then demonstrate the code needed to implement message interception functionality, and finally bring these two concepts together in a working scenario. As a bonus, Don will examine, discuss and demonstrate the code behind the BHighlyMobile Group's application "Call To Contact", a popular freeware application that leverages both the Outlook Mobile and Notification Broker APIs.
Don Sorcinelli is the owner of The BHighlyMobile Group, L.L.C., a New Hamshire-based consultancy focused on mobility solutions based upon Microsoft technologies. The BHighlyMobile Group is a Microsoft Certified Partner with the Mobility Solutions competency. More information can be found at http://www.bhighlymobile.com. Don is also a long-standing Microsoft Most Valuable Professional ("MVP") in the Mobile Devices category, as well as the Editor-In-Chief of BostonPocketPC.com (http://www.bostonpocketpc.com) and Co-Manager of Club Pocket PC - Boston, the Boston/New England Windows Mobile User and Developer Group.
This event is free and open to the public. RSVPs are appreciated!
