Don Sorcinelli

.NET Compact Framework Development Jump Start for Desktop Developers:

For most .NET Web and Windows Forms developers, Windows Mobile application development presents a new series of challenges and learning. While there are many subtle differences involved in the successful design and development of Windows Mobile solutions using the .NET Compact Framework, there is much existing knowledge that can be leveraged to ease the learning curve.

In this presentation, you will learn about the background and current state of the Windows Mobile platform and the .NET Compact Framework and how it impacts you as a .NET developer. You will also be introduced to mobile device development in the Visual Studio 2005 environment, and some of the differences surrounding design, development, testing and deployment. Along the way, you will learn some of the common issues faced by developers new to this type of development, and ways to avoid some of the early pitfalls
